JOHN BLACK – VOCALS AND GUITAR

John started performing at the age of seven. He regularly appeared on stage with his parents' band singing and playing guitar. This led to him turning professional at the age of sixteen. He spent the following ten years working clubs, pubs and holiday parks across the country and various hotels and music venues abroad.

For the past three years John has been a member of top North East function band Laughing Jacks, whilst continuing to perform voice and acoustic guitar solo gigs.

RICHARD RUTHERFORD - BASS

Richard has been a professional musician for fifteen years. In that time he's played in cabaret, theatre and television situations as well as playing in bands fronted by musicians such as Mick Whitaker, Les Watts, Aaron Bayley and The Crosby Brothers. Richard now runs the band Laughing Jacks

DAVE LOURIE - DRUMS

Dave is a professional drummer with over twenty years experience. As well as being one of the resident tutors at Newcastle Drum Centre, Dave teaches on behalf of Northumberland Music Services. Since Dave also plays saxophone to professional standard, his playing career to this point has included every conceivable musical situation, including many years as band leader of renowned show group The Flying Emperors.
